New to Texas A&M, the DNP-Forensic Nursing track can prepare nurses for advanced leadership in a needed and highly specialized field. Focused on caring for survivors of violence and trauma, this program equips graduates with the expertise to operate at the intersection of health care and the legal system.
As a clinical doctorate, the program emphasizes the role of forensic nurses as leaders in translating evidence into practice, measuring outcomes and shaping care delivery for vulnerable populations. Graduates are prepared to influence health policy, serve as expert consultants and drive systemic change in both clinical and legal environments. Delivered online over seven semesters, this part-time program offers flexibility while enabling students to complete most clinical hours in their local communities.

New to Texas A&M, the DNP-Extreme Environment Nursing track can prepare nurses to lead and deliver care in some of the world’s most challenging settings. From disaster zones and humanitarian missions to aerospace and remote environments, this program trains nurses to operate where traditional health systems may be limited or nonexistent.
Grounded in systems thinking, operational leadership, trauma-informed care and environmental adaptability, this clinical doctorate equips graduates to meet emerging global needs in disaster response, military and veteran care, planetary health and telehealth. The program is delivered asynchronously online over seven semesters, allowing students to balance professional responsibilities while completing most clinical experiences in their own communities.
Online DNP-Leadership
41 credit hours*
The DNP-Leadership track can prepare nurses to step into high-impact roles as practice-oriented leaders and clinical scientists. Building on existing graduate education and professional experience, this program develops your ability to translate evidence into real-world clinical improvements, evaluate patient outcomes and lead system-wide initiatives that enhance quality and safety.
Graduates are positioned to lead quality improvement efforts, manage clinical programs and serve in executive or administrative roles across health care organizations. The program is delivered asynchronously online over seven semesters, allowing working professionals to continue advancing their careers while completing coursework part time. Students may also complete most clinical hours within their own communities.
*38-credit-hour base degree program for APRN-certified with 500 documented practice hours; 39 to 41-credit-hour base for all other students
